Partnerships would be most effective. Although it might be helpful for students to minor in business or double major in it, I think the important thing is that they are exposed to it and learn to work with the business side (within bounds of ethical reason). However, I don't think courses need to be added within journalism schools. Rather, allowing journalism students to take courses from business schools with the possibility of obtaining a minor, a graduate certificate, or a dual degree would be ideal.
